Yes, in beta: an AppImage, a .deb and a .rpm for x86_64, in Linux 0.1.1 (beta). The island sits on the top edge with compositors that support layer-shell (COSMIC, KDE Plasma, Hyprland, Sway…); on GNOME it opens as a regular window. Please report anything odd in the issues.
For full setup, copy the install prompt from the home page into your AI agent. It installs Orbi, configures the bridge and hooks, and updates global agent instructions with backups. If Orbi is already installed, orbi-mcp install auto --instructions configures existing profiles. Start a new agent session afterward.
Add Orbi to your agent once: on Windows, run %LOCALAPPDATA%\Orbi\bin\orbi-mcp.exe install claude (or codex, gemini, agy, all), review the change, confirm, then start a new session. The installer removes a previous Planet Bar entry and its owned hooks. It also adds small hooks that remind the agent to keep its planet up to date, and hold a finished turn back once until it does; with Orbi closed they do nothing. Codex asks you to trust new hooks: open /hooks in Codex and trust the orbi ones. An agent appears on the island as soon as it uses one of Orbi’s tools. macOS and Linux use a local Unix socket; Linux runtime validation is still pending. See the bridge guide for each platform’s installed bridge path.
Click the preview bar; hover does not open it. Click the minimized tab to restore the preview, then click the preview to expand. A clarify question opens the agent’s tab and loops a sonar ping while it waits if sound is enabled; in minimized mode the tab pulses instead of opening.
Check the tray sound setting, your system volume and whether Orbi is muted in the Windows volume mixer.
Tray icon → Pause. Choose it again, or Open Orbi, to bring it back.
First remove Orbi from your agents and their global rules: orbi-mcp uninstall all --instructions. For an older bridge without --instructions, follow the uninstall guide.
On Windows: then Windows Settings → Apps → Orbi → Uninstall. Optionally delete %APPDATA%\Orbi, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Orbi and %LOCALAPPDATA%\fr.louisraille.planetbar.
On Linux: then sudo apt remove orbi or sudo dnf remove orbi, or delete the AppImage. Optionally delete ~/.config/orbi, ~/.local/share/orbi, ~/.cache/orbi and ~/.local/share/fr.louisraille.planetbar.
